Lokanatha (1897-May 25, 1966) was an Italian Buddhist missionary.
အရွင္ေလာကနာထ (၁၈၉၇ - ေမ ၂၅, ၁၉၆၆) သည္ အီတလီလူမ်ဳိး ဗုဒၶသာသနာျပဳ ဆရာေတာ္ တစ္ပါး ျဖစ္ခဲ့သည္။

Lokanatha was born near Naples, Italy in 1897 in the celebrated family of Cioffi and given the name of Salvatore, meaning the Savior. Brought up in an atmosphere of talented culture, he was a talented violinist. He studied chemistry and received his B.Sc. at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, in 1922. He then worked as a chemical analyst for the Crucible Steel Co. and Procter & Gamble before briefly attending Columbia University Medical School. It was the scientific impulse in him which led him to Buddhism, which he embraced not long after graduation. Shortly he was on pilgrimage to the places sacred to Buddhism and was ordained a Buddhist monk in Burma in 1925. Thereafter, he resolved to propagate the teachings of the Buddha all over the world.
အရွင္ေလာကနာထ ကို အီတလီႏိုင္ငံ၊ ေနပယ္လ္ (Naples) ကမ္းေျခအနီး ထင္ရွားေသာ မိသားစု Cioffi မွ ၁၈၉၇ ခုႏွစ္တြင္ ေမြးဖြားခဲ့သည္။ Salvatore ဟု အမည္ေပးခဲ့သည္။ အဓိပၸာယ္မွာ ကယ္တင္ရွင္ ဟူ၍ ျဖစ္သည္။ ပါရမီထူးကဲေသာ ယဥ္ေက်းမႈ နယ္ပယ္တြင္ ေနထုိင္ရင္း သူသည္ တေယာတီးခတ္ေသာ ပညာရွင္ တစ္ဦး ျဖစ္ခဲ့သည္။ ၁၉၉၂ တြင္ ဓာတုေဗဒ ဘာသာရပ္ျဖင့္ B.Sc ဘဲြ႕ကို The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art ေက်ာင္းမွ ရရွိခဲ့သည္။ အခ်ဳပ္အားျဖင့္ ေျပာရလွ်င္ Columbia University Medical School ေက်ာင္းတြင္ မတက္ေရာက္မီ The Crucible Steel Co. ႏွင့္ Procter & Gamble အလုပ္တြင္ ဓာတုေဗဒ သရုပ္ခြဲသူ တစ္ေယာက္ အျဖစ္ အလုပ္လုပ္ခဲ့သည္။
